Digistamp boutique Alf playing darts

hello friends!!
hope you are all having a fab weekend. hope you are enjoying the weather if its nice where you are.

todays card is a very special one as I asked the very talented Sally-Ann over at Digistamp boutique if she could draw me up one of the Alf images but as a dart player. As always Sally-Ann has excelled herself and luckily for me I was one of the first people to see the image but I couldn't post the card until he went onto the website.
So with great delight here is my card of Alf playing darts. Here I have coloured him in with copics as always. I added glossy accents to his eyes and his sticking out tongue!!

I have matted and layered him up onto blue and red card and the wording I printed direct from the PC using a font called funnily enough Fabulous 50's!! which I thought was very apt!

here is a close up of Alf  - I love the sticking out tongue!!

So I want to say a huge thank you to Sally-Ann for the image. It was greatly appreciated!!

thanks for dropping by and hope to see you again very soon

Rosie and present -Digi Stamp Boutique image

hello friends

This is a fab set from Digistamp Boutique called Rosie collection 1 - here I have used Rosie with the present.
As always she is printed out and coloured in with copics. I have added glossy accents to the balloons and gems to the centre of the bows.

the wording was done on the pc using a font called haxihmk font. I made it into a circle with my GCF and cut it out using my cuttlebug and circle dies.
I added a red flower and then a tiny gemstone to the very centre of the red flower gem.

here is a close up of Rosie

the backing paper is from my digi collection by Shabby Princess called Sweet Sprinkles.

I simply printed out the paper and matted onto red cardstock from my stash.

thanks for dropping by today and I hope to have something new to show you very soon

Just for you

hello friends
I owe you all an apology for the lack of posts but my mojo got up and left with the rubbish I think. I am hoping it might be in the recycling bin and so it might be come back as something completely different!! LOL

anyway here is a quick card using one of the fabulous ready to print images from Clip Art Fairy. This one is called A message from mouse.  I love the cute mouse, the colours are fab and its so easy to use.

I simply printed direct onto some cardstock and using the decoupage flowers I curved them slightly to make it look more rounded than flat. If you know what I mean LOL. You might just be able to make it out on the smaller photograph.

I added orangey coloured gems to the centres of the flowers in various sizes.  The sentiment was done using my Greeting Card Factory programme and cut with my trusty Cuttlebug.
I added a purple flower gem to the centre and hey presto - one very quick card.

thanks for dropping by today. I am hoping my mojo will return with gusto as I feel like a bad crafter and very bad blogger!

hugs to you all until next time

Happy 21st Birthday (commission)

hello friends, followers and fellow crafters.
thanks for dropping by today to see my latest card. This is another commission card this time for a 21st birthday. The spec given was red hair, make up, glam and sparkly.

So I used this fabulous image which was a freebie on the Saturated Canary website. I wasn't too sure if she was a bride or a princess. But I think she is stunning. So thanks to Krista of Saturated Canary for sharing the image.

As always I have coloured the image in with my trusty copics. I think I maybe should have done the ribbon around her hair in a different colour but the spec was red hair and the ribbon is a different shade of red. I hope its clear enough to see.

here is a close up of her hair.

I have added tiny gems to her hair and to the centre of the purple flowers. I gave her ruby red lips and put glossy accents on them to make them shiny!
The swirl die was a kind donation from a fellow Docrafter called Chris of ChrisAndCat fame. Thanks very much Chris. I simply stuck this to the side of the image on the backing paper and used a punch for the butterfly in pearlescent paper.
The wording was printed in a font called Beautiful onto cardstock and matted onto red cardstock.

I hope you all like it and I would really appreciate any comments good or bad or any suggestions. I read each and every one of them.

thanks for stopping by - hope to see you again very soon

Happy Birthday (commission)

hello friends
hope you are all well and thanks for dropping by today.

I have been asked to do a very quick card for a huge My Chemical Romance fan called Jazzii.
Sadly I wasn't able to make the card similar to the Twilight card I did previously in my blog. So I just printed the image out and matted and layered it up onto black and red cardstock.

The wording I printed direct onto the base cardstock itself using a font that the band themselves use called funnily enough My Chemical Romance! LOL
I just hope that Jazzii likes it. I had hoped to print her birthday number on also but the font doesn't include numbers sadly.
But hopefully being 12 will be fab for Jazzii.

hugs to you all until next time

Happy Birthday Daughter (commission)

hello friends
well its Friday again and Friday 13th too!! Its not a bad day today as its very lucky in tattooing to be tattooed on the 13th and hubby as usual has had number 13's put on him!!

Well who is a big big silly billy - yes me. I made the other wedding day card and stupidly forgot to take a photo of it. But its exactly the same as the other wedding day landscape card I did in red only this time I did it in silver and white.
So apologies to those who were hoping to see it.

Here is another card to keep you coming back for more (I hope!) - this time a birthday card for a daughter. The request was for a commission card and all I was told was her name, age and date of her birthday. So I thought this Tickled Pink Lil Fairy Kira was a perfect image.

I coloured her with my trusty copic pens. I took some time on her as the last time I did everything back to front. And I was sure you could see the blue chalk in her wings!  So this time I did the blue clouding effect in chalks first before I glittered her wings and then coloured her in. I gave her red lips and blue eyeshadow! I am quite pleased with the wings. I took my time and covered them in glamour dust!

Excuse the slightly blurry photo - I can never seem to get the smaller ones in focus. I need my daughter's help with her doing photography! LOL
so I hope you like this card today. Sometimes free rein cards come easy and sometimes its difficult as what I like isn't what the recipient likes so I hope Kirsty likes this one I made for her.
The font I used is called Liorah.

so thanks again for stopping by today and any comments you may leave. I read and appreciate each and every comment and wherever possible return the gesture.

hugs always to you all

Wedding Day

hello friends
well its Thursday again and I have another card to share with you all. I did promise you I would try and post the cards that I was requested to make this week and this is just one of them.

This is a wedding card - one of two to be made for the same couple.  So I did my best to make both cards as different as possible.
This first one is using a fabulous Lili of the Valley image called Mr and Mrs.

This is very lightly coloured in and I added glamour dust for extra sparkle on the edges of the bride's veil.

I then matted onto light pink glitterboard for even more sparkle.
The wording is done direct onto the base card stock using a font called English Vivace.

thanks for dropping by and I hope to get the second wedding card uploaded tomorrow!

hugs to you all

Happy Birthday Sister in Law

hello friends
well its Tuesday again. where are the days going to? It seems like only yesterday it was Wednesday!!
Hope you are all keeping well, safe dry and warm wherever you are in the world.

here is today's card. Another request for the landscape style card that seems popular with my card buyers. This time in black.
Again the wording was done direct onto the card stock using a font called Splendid for the main Happy Birthday sentiment. The rest was done using a font called Beautiful. I know I've used 2 different fonts but I like them both and couldn't decide!! I think they work well together though.

I cut the flowers using an xcut daisy flower punch and the leaves are from a Martha Stewart frond leaf  punch. the butterfly is an old punch that I was given as a gift and I am not sure of the make as it doesn't have one but this one I think is very similar.
Gems are from my stash to give some sparkle and bling!

thanks so much for dropping by today. I have a few card orders this week so hope to get more posted as I make them.

hugs always

Happy 40th Birthday

hello friend
wow. a huge thank you for all the kind comments you left me recently. much appreciate them all.

today's card is another commission card for Jenny a tattoo client of ours. Jenny doesn't like fussy cards or too many flowers but loves butterflies. I did this card with a very kind donated butterfly from Tikvah on docrafts. This was included with some of the crosses that Anne sent me about a month ago for the holy communion card. thanks very much Anne.

I simply added sparkly gemstones to the main body of the butterfly and stuck it onto an embossed circle done with my trusty Cuttlebug using a folder which has swirls and birds on it called funnily enough Birds and Swirls!!
I simply matted this onto a Spellbinders die cut scalloped circle in lilac cardstock.

The wording was done direct onto the base card itself using a font called Baskerville Old Face. Jenny's name was done in Brock script.
I do hope Jenny likes it as the inside has a surprise for her. A picture of her when she was much younger with Gotcha written too. this was her Mam's idea to make her laugh! I hope it works!

thanks for dropping by today and I would love to read some comments from you.

hugs to you all until next time
