With Love

hello
wow - can't thank you enough for the comments on my previous cards - much appreciate your kind words.
If there was an award for worst blogger - I think I would win it!! I promise myself I will upload cards and I just never seem to find the time!!  Thanks for sticking with me and I hope you like what I have shown you all so far.

Here is a card I made and then realised its similar to Jules' card on her blog -so with kind permission of Jules I can show you what I did with the new papers from Pink Petticoat called Isabelline.

I have printed one of the papers out for a 6" square card front then matted onto black cardstock.

I added a strip of another of the papers and added the words "with love" using a font called Ambiance. I then matted this also onto black cardstock.

The pearls are from my stash and are a pale grey colour which I thought matched the grey of the papers very well.

Hope you like it!!
thanks again for dropping by and I will see you all tomorrow with (fingers crossed!! LOL) another new card.

hugs to you all

Beer Monster

hello friends
hope you are all well and its sunny wherever you are in the world!!
Here is today's card. This is a digi image which I found ages ago coloured in and then left! tut tut naughty me - but I guess I am not the only one who does this!!

I found some funky digi paper within my digi stash and thought it matched the already coloured in image. I then matted everything onto black cardstock and the wording was done on the PC using a font called Janda Quirky.

I added some glamour dust to the bubbles at the top of the pint glass which I also covered with some glossy accents to try and make it look a tad shiny. I also did the same to his eyes but its not showing up very well!!
here is a close up of the beer monster - he's rather cute!!

Hope you like today's card and I hope to see you all again tomorrow!!

hugs until then

Friendship card swap

hello friends and fellow crafters.
wow another week or so has again flown by but I do have a new card to show you!!
This is for the Docrafts monthly friendship swap which I always try to join in - for those who don't know you get paired with a different crafter in the list and just swap a card to say hello and show what you can make.
Here I have used a LOTV image called Maisie - I love her - she is so versatile and can be used for a variety of themes - I have coloured her in with my copic pens.

I used a digi paper from my stash, printed it out and matted it onto a 6" square linen card base. I matted the image and the word Friendship (which is printed in purple) onto purple cardstock. I added glamour dust to the butterfly in her hair and a large diamante to the centre of the flower.

The corners are a Cuttlebug die from a die set called Vintage. I added a strip of linen cardstock with punched edges and then added a purple ribbon and diamantes to the holes.

I hope you like it. It started off life as a pink themed card and ended up purple. How I ended up with a purple card is beyond me! LOL
But I do like it!

hugs until next time

Happy Valentines Day

hello friends.
where have the weeks gone? probably the same place my mojo went!! If you could have seen me - printing stuff out, colouring stuff in and then scrunching up the whole lot in temper and throwing it all away. Sound familiar? Honestly don't know what was wrong with me!! Creative block? I think I needed a pick axe and a Davy Lamp to break in to find it!!
anyway thanks to those of you who are still here. And to keep the mojo flowing - I have kind of cheated and done lots of plain and simple cards. Just till the mojo juices are finally flowing and not ebbing back and forth!!

Here is a Valentines card - this is heart shape with various texts within it. I simply printed it out onto a 6" square linen card and added glossy accent to the heart. Simple yet effective I think.

Excuse the slightly out of focus photo. but here is a close up of the heart below.

I like the colour - its different. The image is from Persnickety Papers and was a free download.

Hope you like it and look forward to seeing you very soon!!

hugs to you all
