Christmas cards

hello friends
I have another 2 quick Christmas cards to share with you today.

First one is another bauble one - only this time in gold. See what you think - this time I have left the baubles plain.

Again I have printed the sentiment direct onto the card base itself using gold for the Scriptina font.  I added gold diamantes for sparkle.

The second Christmas card was using a fab little cute penguin from Pink Gem Designs. This is a ready coloured image. So all I had to do was print it out and I added some diamantes.

I printed a snowy background direct onto the card base then matted the image onto silver mirri card and added a snowflake.  Glitter is added to the puddle I think he is supposed to be standing in for even more Christmas sparkle.

Thanks for dropping by - I appreciate each and every one of you who stop by and leave a comment.

hugs to you all
have a fab weekend

Vintage Christmas (take 2 - lol)

Hello Friends and followers
Crikey - where are the weeks going to. I can't believe its been over a week since I posted on here.
What a naughty blogger I am.

Anyway thank you all for the positive comments on my Snowy Postcard card last time. I have done another one and I think this one is better.
See what you think!

I've changed the colour of the actual postcard image and added a little bit more glitter. I feel this matches better with the background paper.

I did the sentiment myself using Page Plus and added a couple of little snowflakes.

What do you think? I know its the same theme and same images but do you think this one is better?

I have also done a clean and simple Christmas card.
Using some die cut baubles sent to me by Trenouth on Docrafts. I wasn't too sure what to do with them but came up with this idea.  See what you think.

I embossed them with a Christmas embossing die and I think it adds a bit of dimension to the baubles.

The wording is done direct onto the card base printed in red to match the baubles.

Thanks for sticking with me - would love your comments.
hugs until tomorrow

Vintage Christmas

hello friends
hope you are all keeping well. well I have succumbed and made my first Christmas card - well the first one I felt good enough to show you all!!

Using the very popular vintage postcard image - I coloured it in with copics to try and match the background paper. I then matted it onto craft card and then gold mirri card for some sparkle.

I added some glitter glue around the oval section of the image.

The sentiment is from my Christmas digi stash - can't remember where from though.
I matted this onto more gold mirri card.

The poinsettias in the corner are new - I bought them especially to go with the postcard image. Not sure if I have done them right as you can't see much of the leaves.

What do you think? Does it need anything else? Hubby says no but I'm not sure.

Any advice or tips or suggestions would be most welcome.

hugs until next time

Saturated Canary image - Happy Birthday Daughter

Hello Friends and fellow bloggers
hope you are all well and had a fab weekend doing what ever it is you enjoy and makes you happy
Here is a card I did a little while ago and totally forgot to post.

Here I have used another saturated canary image. As always she is coloured with copics and matted onto some pink card stock.

I printed some pink background direct onto the cardstock itself and the wording from the PC using a font called Beautiful.

The sentiment circle is a freebie from the fabulous Netty. She offers a wide variety of freebie sentiments and they are great for all cards.

Here is a close up albeit slightly blurry of the image.

I added some glitter to the flowers in her hair and some glossy accents to her lips.

Thanks for dropping by today.
hope to see you all again tomorrow with another card.

hugs until then

Saturated Canary - Happy Birthday Girlfriend

Hello Friends and followers.
long time no posting. I cannot believe I have been away so long. I hope you haven't forgot me.

Here is a new card I made for my brother's girlfriend.
Using a Saturated Canary image coloured with copics.  I added diamantes to her hair.

The sentiment was printed direct onto the background paper which was from my digi stash.
The swirls and flower are from a fellow Docrafter called Chris of ChrisAndCat fame.

Here is a close up of the main image

The theme requested was pink - very pink and girly!
So I used different shades of pink.

The date sentiment was altered for the actual birthday date and was a kind donation from Kerry of A Load of Old Pickle.

Hope you like it and I would appreciate any feedback good or bad.

hugs to you all as always

New Baby Girl card

hello again
hope you are all well. I have been following all your fantastic blogs. Wow you all make some fabulous cards.

Here is my card for today.  This is a commission personalised card for a new baby girl.

Again I printed all the details direct onto the card base in a pink using a font called Papyrus

I always print the names of the parents at the top and the baby's details at the bottom - I think it makes it more personal.

Here is a close up of the bear.  She is an image from the triple Forever Friends CD which was out a couple of years ago. I added some glitter to her feet for some sparkle.

Here is a close up of the top section

this is the bottom section - I always try to get the baby's details in the same order.

I do hope you like it - sorry its another personalised card but I did tell you I get asked for these a lot! I think they are popular cos you obviously can't buy these in the shops.

hugs to you all

Happy Birthday

hello friends, followers and crafters

another week has flown past us and its getting closer to October! eek.
Where has this year gone.

Here is today's card. I am currently making lots of cards for a box for a local hairdressers so am trying to get as many made as possible.

This is a digi silhouette image from Shery K Designs and I printed her out to fit a 6" square card.

The background paper is one from my digi stash.

I haven't used this paper before and am not too sure if you think its too busy and fussy for this style of card. It was the colours I liked!

The sentiment was printed onto white cardstock and matted onto black to match the background paper.

I punched some flowers and leaves from the same black card. Tiny flowers from similar coloured paper and then diamantes to the centres for sparkle.

What do you think? Excuse the poor photos - it makes the card look uneven.
I must ask my daughter Sian to show me how to take better photos! She is doing her degree at uni now so she will know better than me!

Thanks for dropping by today. please let me know what you think.

hugs to you all

Happy Birthday

Hello friends

hope you are all well and having a fab weekend.
today's card is another personalised commission card for a huge Green Day fan.

Here I have used a sketch of the lead singer as he is her favourite.
I have printed the details again direct onto the card base.

I then matted the image up onto red and then black cardstock to match the colours in the image.

The second card is for a huge Kellin Quinn fan.

Here I have used another sketch. But matted this time onto holographic mirri card.

Here is a close up of the drawing.

Thanks for dropping by again today. Hope you like today's 2 cards.
off now to blog hop with all your lovely fantastic blogs.

hugs to you all

Happy 3rd Birthday (Mickey and Minnie Mouse)

hello friends
well as promised I have a new card to share with you. Another personalised requested card - told you I do a lot of these!

This one was requested for a little girl called Courtney - she will be 3 in December and apparently wants to marry Mickey Mouse! Not sure what Minnie Mouse will think but you never know! LOL

Once again personalising was done directly onto the card base this time using the Walt Disney style font.
I have used a pre coloured image of the both of them - I then matted it onto gold card for some sparkle.

Here is a close up of the image

This is the top section of the card.

And this is the bottom section

Thanks once again for dropping by - and for your comments.
I will see you all again tomorrow with another card.

until then
love you lots

Happy Birthday Daughter (commisssion)

hello friends
hope you all had a fab weekend and did whatever made you happy.
Thanks for all the positive comments on my last card. means such a lot to me.

Here is today's card. Another personalised commission card. This time for a 20th birthday.

Here I have chosen to use a Bugaboo digi image. This one is called Dottie with Cupcake.  Here I have coloured her with copics and added glamour dust and glossy accents to the cupcake.

The background of red dots was printed directly onto the base of the card but in a lower transparency. At the same time I printed the wording using a font called Fabulous 50's.

I spaced the lettering out to make it more clearer.

Here is a close up of the image.

I added diamantes for earrings and a diamond shaped diamate for the bow in her hair.

Thanks for dropping by today and I love reading your comments and returning the favour.

hugs until tomorrow

Happy Birthday (gorjuss girl)

hello friends and new followers.
wow - thanks so much for joining me. its a pleasure to have you on board (so to speak) - I do hope you like my creations - although I am a bit all over the place I hope to keep you all regularly following with new cards as often as possible.

today I have another commission card - I do get asked for these a lot - I think its because they are personalised and made to order. I make them as requested.

This one I have used a die cut Gorjuss Girl image slightly decoupaged up.

The font is called Allura and printed directly onto the card base.

I added some of the small flowers from the kit and the heart just to balance the card out. I felt it was too plain and stark on its own.

Thanks for dropping by - I appreciate any comments good or bad and I will be back very very soon with another new card.

hugs to you all

Baby Boy card

hello friends
hope you are all well. thanks for all the comments on my card yesterday - cheered me up no end!!

here is today's card - a commission card for a baby boy.

I have used some supersmooth card in white and using a font to match the background paper I printed the details of the parents, baby's name, date of birth, weight and time to make it personalised.  The font is called Bradley Hand and printed direct onto the card base.

The image used is from Digistamp Boutique - a fabulous site with some amazing digi images. Here I have printed the image twice once on white card and then onto some softly shabby paper in blue.  I added tiny blue gems for sparkle.

This is the top section of the card with the parents names on

This is the bottom section with the baby's details printed on.

This is the insert. Again with the wording matching the front - same colour and same font.

Thanks for dropping by again to say hello. If you do say hello and leave a comment whether good or bad - I love hearing from you and will return all comments with a visit to your blog too.

hugs to you all

Thank God I'm fabulous - happy birthday

hello everyone
wow - nearly another week has gone by. thanks for all your kind words of encouragement and positivity - I loved reading all your comments on my last card.

Here is today's card. This one is for a box I am making up for a local hairdressers who asked me to supply her with a box of cards. So am trying hard to cover every occasion I can think of.

This is a digi image from my stash - coloured with copics.

The background paper is from my digi stash - printed onto wedding invite paper (lol) - I like to use this - seems to give the card a more expensive feel.

The Happy Birthday and the red lips were from one of Netty's freebie downloads. I simply printed them out after merging them together using Photoshop and added red cardstock and glossy accents to make the lips shiney!

I added some gems to her bracelets and one in the bow in her hair just for some sparkle.

I think this card is fun and hope you like it too!!

thanks for dropping by again today - means so much to me.
off now to visit everyone's blogs and leave comments.

hugs to you all until next time

1st Wedding Anniversary card

hello everyone
apologies for being missing in action again. have been rather low lately but am determined to battle through this.

Here is today's card. this was a requested card for a brother and sister in law.
I made the very popular landscape card. The theme of their wedding was black and silver.

I printed their names and the date requested was for their wedding date - not their anniversary date. Now to me this is wrong - I might be wrong myself - but to me if its an anniversary card - it should be the year of your anniversary not your wedding year. If that makes sense? What do you think? Anyway I was asked to change it as I put 2013 on for this year and was asked to change it to 2012.

So I punched the butterflies and leaves and butterfly out of black cardstock. I also cut a silver butterfly.

These are the flowers and leaves. I added large diamates for the centres of the flowers for extra sparkle.

I would appreciate any comments or suggestions as always and your thoughts on the date I was asked to put on. Am I right or are they right?

NOTE - having read some of the comments on here and on my Docrafts page - I guess there is no right and wrong way - customer is always right!

Am off now to catch up on all my fellow bloggers, friends and followers.
hugs to you all

Wee Stamps - Because you're so special

hello everyone.
thanks for dropping by again today. much appreciate it.
today's card is a quickish card - made with one of the Wee Stamps available here.

I love this image - its so cute!! I have added a touch more colour to their cheeks and also added some glamour dust and glossy accents to their  antennae and the balls at the bottom of the branch.

Now - don't all laugh at once but this is my first go with the doileys!! ooh get me. mind you - it took me ages to get it to stick down without the glue going everywhere. I've probably done it wrong - no doubt you will have better ways and ideas of sticking them down!! This one was very kindly sent to me by my good craft buddy on Docrafts  - Teresa - known for her stunning cards and love of all things Tilda!! You can see some of her fab cards here on her blog.

I simply matted the image onto some lilac cardstock to match in with the digi background paper. The flowers are cut from lilac paper and the leaves from my Martha Stewart leaf punch. I added large diamantes for sparkle.

The sentiment is from Netty's freebie sentiment images.  I printed it out direct from the PC onto the same lilac cardstock.

Here is a close up of the image

Thanks for dropping by again today - always look forward to seeing who has visited me and my little blog.  Off now to visit my fellow crafters.
hope you all have a good weekend

hugs to you all until next time
