Tickled Pink Lil All Sorts Fairy Kira

hello friends!!!  hope the weekend is getting off to a good start no matter what you are up to and that the weather is good for you too.
Todays posting is a first for me!!! So please be gentle.
This fabulous image is  a Tickled Pink image called Fairy Kira. She was very kindly sent to me by my very good friend from Down Under in Tasmania the very talented Kym. Thanks very much Kym. Hope you like what I have done with it.
Having never coloured in an image from the Tickled Pink range I hope that my layout and idea is okay!!

She was coloured in with my copics pens and I used in the background some chalk which I have never used for ages! It was supposed to give the impression of her being slightly off the ground! Not sure if I should have coloured the background in before I coloured her in though! I will know better for next time.

The stunning swirls were very kindly donated by another talented crafter Chris who is known better as ChrisAndCat on Docrafts. She did 3 different types and you can see I have used 2 on here. What doesn't show up too well is that she has cut them from a beautiful pearlescent card and I used a pearlescent paper for the flowers.

I used pearl gems for the flower centres and the sentiment circle was from the talented Kerry known as Pickle also from Docrafts and her blog A Load of Old Pickle. So I have kind of created this card with the help of 3 very good crafting friends. So thanks ladies!!

Hope you like what I have done with it and I would appreciate any comments good or bad or whether I should be doing anything different.

take care dear friends and thanks for visiting today.
love and hugs till next time

Friendship card swap on Docrafts

hello friends.
hope you are all well and that the sun is shining wherever in the world you are.
My card today is my friendship swap card for the month of April.
I swapped with the fabulous Jeannette who is better known on Docrafts as BIC (Black Isle Crafter)

I made this card using a LOTV Milly - Just for you stamp. This was a freebie along with a whole bunch of other fabulous LOTV stamps in a magazine. I think the magazine was Papercraft Inspirations.
As always Milly was coloured with my trusty and very nearly running out copic pens.

The backing paper was another freebie in another magazine. This time it was a Quite Contrary paper set that was a freebie in Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine from last year.
The large die cut was the scallop circle cut with my trusty Cuttlebug and the paper with the flowery green pattern was another paper from the pack. The wording was done on the PC using Havix font. The swirls were a sent to me by a very special Docraft buddy called Chris of ChrisandCat fame. She was so very kind sending me 3 different types of swirls and I cannot thank her enough. I coloured this particular one with one of my copics to match the paper and Milly's dress.

hope that you like the card as much as Jeannette said she did.

thanks for dropping by today and any comments you may leave me.

hugs always until next time

Happy 1st Birthday

Hello everyone!!
Hope you are all having a good day today even if it is Friday the 13th!! Personally it doesn't bother me at all - bearing in mind I did get married on 6/6/6!! LOL
Here is today's upload. Its a commission card for a friends nephew. She didn't want nephew on just his name and date.

I used one of the newish Lily of the Valley images called Baby with Teddy - I can't remember who sent him to me sadly - he is coloured in with my copics.
Matted onto blue cardstock. Wording done direct from PC using Baskerville font - I printed it direct onto one of my digi paper.
I left it quite plain as I feel with it being a first birthday and having the date and name on that anything else make take it away from the details.
What do you think? Should I have added embellishments maybe?
The lady was extremely happy with it and placed another order.

Thanks for stopping by today and if you leave a comment I will pop across to your blog and leave comments for you too!!
take care - see you soon
love always

Happy Birthday

hello friends and followers.
hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
here is my card for today and I have also entered this card into the Stampin' for the Weekend challenge.  My first go!!
this is a Stamp Fairy teddy bear image which I have coloured with my trusty copics.

I have simply matted and layered him onto card stock and a freebie Pink Petticoat paper which came free with a magazine a while ago.

wording done from PC using Papyrus font.  The idea for this card layout came from the fabulous Katina at Katina's Cards and Chat. She made a fab card using the same image and I took inspiration from that. Thanks Katina. your blog is amazing.

hope this meets the criteria of the challenge and good luck to all those entered!

hugs to all of you.
Happy Easter

At last a card!!!

Firstly I would like to thank you all for sticking around after my lack of posts over the past week and a half.
And secondly thank you all for your kind words.

Now to the latest card.
This is a commission card for a Ruby Wedding Anniversary. I didn't have a date to put on as the lady couldn't remember when the actual date was. I prefer to put a date on especially with an anniversary card as I feel its more personalised.
Wording done on PC using English Vivace font. Printed in what I hoped was a ruby colour. Swirls done with swirl embossing folder using my trust cuttlebug. matted onto red card stock and a red heart die cut too with the cuttlebug.

I then added red gems to the hearts as I wanted just to add a bit of sparkle. Never done it before. hope you think it looks okay. Was rather fiddly I must admit!!

thanks as always for looking and any comments good or bad or any suggestions for future anniversary cards.
hugs to you all until next time
