Happy 1st Birthday

hello again everyone.
wow its Saturday again. where are the weeks flying to?
I cannot believe its July tomorrow. this year is going past really quickly.
thank you all for the comments on my previous postings I really appreciate each and every one of them!

here it today's card.
this was a request for a girls 1st birthday card. As always a last minute request! So with less than an hour to make it I plumped for a digi image from Pink Gem. Janet has an amazing variety of digi images on there and I thought this one was perfect. She is called Cupcake Teddy.

I printed the wording direct onto some pink pearlescent paper although it doesn't show up on the photograph.
I just added some glossy accents to the hearts on the bun, the flower centres and the flower on her head.

Although its a quick card I am pleased with the results. I just hope Jessica's parents like it!!

here is a close up of the fab colours on the bear.  Luckily for me these are superbly printable images and its looks brilliant.

thanks for dropping by today hope you pop by again very soon

hugs to you all

Happy 30th Birthday

Hello Friends
wow!! what a dramatic day for the weather. Don't know about your part of the country or world but its been torrential rain, thunder and lightning here. Our main streets of Blyth are all flooded and closed off. Some of the business's are closed due to the flood water. Luckily for us we are further down the street and on a slope so other than the lights flickering on and off we are okay.
Hope you are all dry safe and warm wherever you are.

Here are today's 2 cards. The request was for 2 cards for 30 year old twins. I was given free reign and told to just do whatever for them. I only hope that they like them if the lady is able to get here to pick them up!!

this is the first one - this is for Andrew.

Here I used an image I have used previously from the Clipart Fairy. He is called Beer Bear - I have printed him out onto cardstock and matted and layered up some of the digi papers. I printed the wording direct onto the base card using a font called Sandy text
I added some glamour dust and glossy accents to the beer froth for effect.

Isn't he cute!! I love the mouse too.

The second card is for Natalie. Now I wasn't too sure whether to go down the flowers and butterflies type style but ending up with a Forever Friends bear image. Here I have matted each layer up ever so slightly to give a decoupage effect but not sure if its not raised enough.

I added glamour dust to the swirls on the end of the bear's scarf and added tiny pink gemstones for sparkle.

I used the brand new papers that came with this months Quick Cards Made Easy magazine. They matched perfectly. I simply cut to size after I again printed the wording direct on the base card using a font called Baabook font which is as close as you can get to the FF font.

thanks for dropping by today. hope you liked what I did today. Although they are quick and printed I hope they will be well received. I just wish I was given more notice for cards sometimes!!

till next time
hugs to you all

Christening Card

hello friends!!
hope you are all okay.  Thank you all for all your kind comments and words recently. Really means so much to me - I feel I'm not alone!!

anyway here is today's cards. Yes I did say cards! LOL. after not being a very good blogger recently I thought I better show you these 2 which I made today. These were made with about 4 hours notice. Although they are not needed till the weekend the lady requested them for today.

Firstly is a christening card. Now I don't have the fab LOTV image christening image of the baby with the window behind it and sadly I thought it may be a digi stamp but no as usual Rosie got it wrong again. LOL.
So I used this Forever Friends bear from my triple CD. Because of the short notice of the request I simply printed it out and matted onto pink cardstock and then onto the base card.

The wording is done direct from the PC onto the linen cardstock printed in pink using the font Francine. I like to do personalised cards as you can buy any card from the shop but a personalised one is more special - well I feel it is anyway.

here is a close up of the bear.

Next I was asked to make a wedding day card. Again I used a well requested style which I think is very popular now with us crafters.
The colour choice was red and although it looks rather reddy orange here it is definitely red!!

Again this is personalised with the bride and grooms names on along with the wedding date itself. I printed direct on the linen base card then matted onto red cardstock. I rounded the bottom corners just for a slightly different look.
I wasn't too sure if all the wording should be printed in red so  I tried it but I felt it was better this way.

Hopefully they will like it!!

thanks again for sticking by me you are all stars!!

hugs always to you all

I punched out the flowers and the leaves. Added red pearls and red gems for effect.

Sent with love and hugs

hello friends
sorry for the lack of postings lately. I have had a really bad head cold and Mr Mojo sadly got up and left me! I could not make a card at all. I kept starting and everything kept ending up scrunched up in temper and put straight in the bin. I think we all get times like this though don't we? Please say its not just me!!
anyway I am feel a bit better today so thought I would ease myself back into the cards with a couple of clean and simple cards. Hope that is okay with all of you.
This is the first one.
Here I have used a LOTV image which is called Me and My Cat this was a freebie with a magazine a while ago now.

I have coloured the image in with my copics and used glossy accents on the flowers to make them stand out a little bit and to add a bit of dimension! ooh get me that was  a big word!
The wording I did direct from the PC using a font called Janiehmk.
I think the card looks sweet as it is. I don't think it needs anything else.

Now for the 2nd card for today. I feel I should show you all a 2nd card after all your patience!!

Here I have used a bugaboo image called Dottie with cupcake.
Again the image is coloured with copics. I have added glamour dust and glossy accents to the cupcake and diamante gems to her earrrings for sparkle. The backing paper was another freebie this time with Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine from about 2 months ago.
the sentiment is from the PC using a font called almademo

thanks for sticking with me and for dropping by. it means so much to me. Especially at the moment. I'm having a few problems with my daughter at the moment and I'm trying to keep focused on other things.
any hugs would be most appreciated too!!

hugs to you too

sending you hugs

hello friends.
I cannot believe its been over a week since I posted anything. how bad am I?? tut tut and a smack on the hand for me.
I hope you are all fit and well. I think I am coming down with something as my throat kills and my head is pounding! knowing my luck its yet another summer cold! bah.

anyway here is today's card - finally I hear you cry!!
This is a tilda image coloured in with my trusty copics. I think I went a bit overboard at her feet and am not sure it looks right but I know you will tell me if its okay or not!!

I added glamour dust and glossy accents to the heart in her hand. I didn't want to do another pink card so opted for blue this time. I was hoping the backing paper would show up a bit better as its printed direct onto pearlescent paper for a lovely sheen.
I embossed some of the cuttlebug hearts onto more linen card stock and matted this and the image onto some beige cardstock.

here is a close up of the image.

I got a bit distracted at work as the Olympic torch came through Blyth today and although I didn't see it in person we watched the live stream at work! Even though the heavens opened up there was still huge crowds of people cheering on the runners.
So well done to all those concerned!! I couldn't run if my bum was on fire!! LOL

I do hope you like the card and like I said I kind of got distracted and left it as it was - not sure if it should have something else or not?
What do you think?

anyway hugs to you all for following me. I appreciate each and every follower that leaves a comment and even those who just pop on! Apparently according to my location map I am getting visitors from USA and India - so Hello!! to anyone who drops by!!

take care each of you
until next time
hugs always Rosie xxx

Happy Anniversary to me and hubby

hello friends!!
Today is my 6th Wedding Anniversary. I cannot believe where the time has gone!! And if you are wondering yes we did married on 6/6/6!! LOL.  So I would like to say Happy Anniversary to my gorgeous husband Davey and tell him how much I love him.
Ignore my face pulling!! That's why I hate having my photo taken!!

Anyway to the card. Today's is a request for a simple but elegant card for a birthday ideally in pink.

I love the style of this one for quick cards. I know a lot of us have done this style using the Scriptina font but this time I used a font called Splendid. I printed it directly onto some cardstock and then matted this onto pink printed paper from my digi stash of digital papers.
The flowers are from the same pink paper cut with an Xcut punch and the same with the butterfly. I added gems to the flower centres and to the body of the butterfly.

hope you like today's card. any comments more than welcome.

hugs to you all

First Holy Communion Card

hello friends!!
wow - what can I say apart from a huge huge thank you for all the comments on my recent Twilight card.  I must admit I don't watch the programme - I have heard of it and the films but its not my cup of tea.

So thanks to each and everyone of you who left a comment. much appreciate each and every one of them.

Anyway here's to today's card. This is a commission card for a First Holy Communion card. Now not being religious in the slightest even though hubby is Catholic I wasn't too sure what to do.
Luckily the ever so kind friends on Docrafts came to my rescue sending me crosses and hands and embossed backgrounds. I couldn't believe the help I received.
so a huge thank you to Peter, Mel, Ann, Maureen and Anne for all the crosses and hands and other items so kindly sent.

So this is the card I made. The background is from Peter and so is the cross. I tried to do a combination of all the crosses sent by every single person but this one matched better.
I have no idea what the background is called but its beautiful.

The wording was done on the PC using an Edwardian font and done in silver to match the mirri card.
here is a close up of the main image

this is a close up of the cross

I added a single diamante gem to the centre of the cross for a bit of sparkle.

I hope the sender likes it and hopefully Emily does too.

thanks for dropping by as always and any comments. I read and respond to each and everyone of them.

hugs always until next time
