Christmas Catch up P and Q

hello friends
Saturday again and its the 1st of December. I totally agree with everyone - this year has gone far too fast. Next thing we know it'll be Easter!! I cannot work out how its gone so fast and as usual I have done nothing for Christmas - I am usually the loony running around on Christmas Eve buying things from garages and corner shops!! LOL only joking.
But seriously though I am out on Christmas Eve. I cannot see why people find that such a baffling concept that I am not set and organised for Christmas with everything done and sorted and wrapped in November. To me its like its a competition over who can be the first to be done and sorted. Kind of takes the festive feeling out of it - in my opinion. If its a competition I am gonna tell people I have been done and sorted since Boxing Day for next Christmas. Then I will win something!! LOL

Anyway - I have 2 cards to share with you today P and Q for the Docrafts A-Z Daily Challenge which is now finished but I am still continuing on with finishing the alphabet.

So here is my card for P - poinsettia.

This is a watercolour image I found and printed onto linen cardstock and matched the colour of the green border with the lettering. The font is called Black Chancery

I simply added a tiny touch of glamour dust to the centres as I didn't want to distract too much from the beautiful picture.

The second card is Q - Christmas Quackers (sorry for the pun!)
I found this cute duck on my Forever Friends Triple CD and thought he looked so cute and Christmassy. I simply again printed him direct this time onto the base card itself and added the wording at the same time - this time in blue to match the background of the duck and in a different font.

I simply added glamour dust for some sparkle. Here is a close up of the duck!

Hope you like these simply cards today - I feel a bit bad cos they are not my colouring in but I do hope you like them

until next time. stay safe and warm

Christmas Ornaments card

hello friends
am still playing catch up!! LOL
here is my card for the letter O - here I have chosen an embossing folder which can be classed as ornaments or baubles I think!!
anyway I chose ornaments - cause I have already done the letter B!!

Here is the card - I have matted it onto red cardstock and added red gems for sparkle.
The wording is done direct from the PC using a font called Splendid printed direct onto the linen card base.

Here is a close up of the card

I think it looks classy and elegant. What do you think?as always I appreciate any comments you may leave me.

until tomorrow

Noel - Christmas catch up (again!)

hello friends
well I'm doing my best to catch up with the A-Z daily challenge over on Docrafts. I think the majority of other have finished!! I'm up to N today.

Here again I have used the trusty Forever Friends bears. They are fab!!
I have printed each of them out separately to spell out NOEL.
I matted each one onto red cardstock and then stuck them all onto an 8" square card. I spent more time getting them straight!! but on the photograph it doesn't look it!!

And then to top it all over I noticed the red cardstock on the O and the E is slightly wider on the top!! aarrgghh!!  calm down - deep breaths!! LOL

here is a close up of the bears which just makes my cutting more noticeable!! LOL

Hope you like what I did for the N card - any comments welcome!! whether good or in this case probably bad!!

Until tomorrow with the letter O card

hugs to you all

Christmas card L is for List

hello friends
wow what a chilly Saturday it is!! Brrrr.... its freezing cold.
Well as promised here is today's catch up card for the Docrafts A-Z Daily challenge. I am up to the letter L.

Here is my card.

I found this image in my digi stash images and I loved the colours. You can't change the words on the list that is the only thing which would have been good but I like the words on it.

I added wording from the PC and matted onto gold mirri card. I didn't add anything else as I felt it needed nothing.

thanks for looking today and I hope to see you again very soon

Christmas Card Catch-up

hello everyone. well I hope you are all keeping well and warm. Today I am playing catch up once again with my A-Z Daily Challenge cards over on Docrafts. Here I have uploaded my letter K card today.
I have chosen K for Kiss-mas (sorry for the pun) just couldn't help myself!!
the image is one of the fabulous Christmas ones from Digistamp Boutique from last year. He is called Jasper and is available here.

I have coloured him with copics and added diamantes to the mistletoe and a red pearl to the robin's hat.

here is a close up of Jasper. I carefully blended his colours together to make his chin appear rounded.

I added glamour dust to the robins hat and used a little snow-tex under Jasper's feet with added glamour dust again.
The background paper was a freebie with magazine from last year and the image and sentiment were both matted onto green cardstock.

thanks for dropping by and I will see you all hopefully tomorrow with the card for L

hello everyone
thanks for joining me again - I'm waving at you all!! LOL
hope you are all okay wherever you are in the world.
Once again I am playing catch-up with the daily challenge so here albeit late my card for the letter J - this is a Jolly Snowman and Snow-lady.

Here is the image.

The image is printed onto linen cardstock same as the base.  The wording is done direct from the PC using a font called Brock Script in red.

I matted the image onto red cardstock and then gold mirri card.  I added a touch of glamour dust to the folds in her scarf and diamantes to the poinsettia on his hat and red gems to the holly berries on her hat.

this is the insert that goes with the image.

hope you like this card and I would appreciate any comments

until next time

A-Z Daily Challenge.

hello
wow its been a week since I posted anything. I don't know where the time or the days have gone. It doesn't seem 2 minutes ago that someone mentioned it was 12 weeks or so to Christmas and now its about 7 weeks or so. I'm hopeless at trying to work out the weeks!! LOL

anyway I am waffling on and not getting to the task in hand.  The cards!! I am trying to keep up with the A-Z daily challenge on Docrafts and failing miserably. Partly to do with work and partly cos I am hopeless at coming up with different ideas for the different letters. I think I'm thinking too much about it and being too focused on the christmas theme!!

Anyway here it letter G - here I have chosen Gifts.
Again for quickness its another Forever Friends image. I have printed him out onto linen cardstock and added gems for sparkle.

The background paper was also a FF digi paper and the wording I did direct from the PC using a font called Ziptydo.

Here is a close up of the image.

This next card is for the letter H - here I have chosen Holly.
For this I have picked an image from the popular Penny Black stamp collection called A Thorny Affair.

I have coloured him in with copics and added red glitter to the berries of the holly.

I used a background paper from with the colour in I have used on the image. The paper is  called Winter Gifts from the very talented Summertime Driggs.

The wording is printed onto linen cardstock using a font called Petra script and then matted onto red cardstock.

thanks for dropping by today and I hope to have more cards to show you very soon

hugs to you all
