Happy Birthday

hello again followers. wow - what a drab weekend. not sure about your little corner of the world but its very dull, and miserable looking today here in not very sunny Northumberland.
what has happened to the weather?
hope you are all keeping well and warm if its a tad chilly where you are! I'm wrapped up with my cardi on! not a good sign
anyway - here is todays upload.

this is one of the many fab new LOTV images that were recently released.
this one is called Party Girl as always coloured in with my copics.
the backing paper was one kindly donated to me by the fabulous Lisa at Wishcraft. I used glamour dust on her crown and glossy accents on the balloon.

The sentiment was a one created by the fabulous Kerry over at A Load of Pickle .  I can't remember where the swirl came from though! Flowers done with xcut punch and gems added for sparkle.

thanks for stopping by today and hope you leave a comment.

hugs always
until next time

ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE - Happy 20th Birthday

Well flippin heck - another posting!! LOL. I think I am coming over all organised for some strange reason. Might be the weather tee hee
Anyway this is a rather strange request - well perhaps I should let my followers be the judge of that.
This is a requested card for a girl called Bethany - she is a tattoo client of ours and knows my daughter. Her Mam requested this card and here is the strange bit. She hates cards!!!!???
No, not the Mam - Bethany!
Her Mam had some Christmas cards made and Beth commented on how she loved my cards and how pretty they all looked but she couldn't see the point in me making them as in her opinion all cards are a waste of time???
Now I wasn't sure I heard her correctly so I asked her to repeat what she had said - she said exactly the same thing. She hated cards and didn't see the point in giving cards out or receiving them as all you did with them was "put them up and then chuck them away!"
Now....not sure if its me but I find that rather odd?? Do you not??
Yes okay so we all like different things - if we didn't the world would be a very boring place. But why did her Mam ask me to make a card for her if she hates them?
I reckon it will end up in the bin in any case. So her Mam said just make it plain and simple but I had to put Bethany on as it will make Beth even more cross apparently.
Now is someone taking the pee out of me here or not?
Anyway this is the image I chose as Beth likes cats and dogs. I picked this one as I thought it was cute but I haven't add any embellishments or flowers as yet as I'm not sure whether or not to.
I know we can't dictate what happens to our cards when they are received but I am not sure if I want to put on my flowers and gems and glamour dust etc if its just going to be chucked away.
So here it is plain and simple for now as I would like your opinions first.

Should I add some flowers or gems or something else to it? Do you think its wasting my time and crafty goodies?

this is a close up of the cat - the image is a LOTV image which again was a freebie in Papercraft Inspirations magazine.
Coloured with copics. Added glossy accents to the flowers and the paper was a download from Pink Petticoat with the wording done directly onto the paper from the PC using Americana font.

thanks for looking and in this posting I would dearly love some comments as to whether or not I am wasting my time here or not.

hugs always
see you all soon

A requested card for a 90th birthday for a lady who loves cats and butterflies.

Image is a Lily of the Valley image called Thomas - Champagne. He was free with Papercraft Inspirations magazine along with a whole load of other stunning LOTV images. Thanks Papercraft Inspirations and LOTV for the fantastic freebies!!
Coloured with copics as always. Added glamour dust to the bubbles coming out of the glasses and used glossy accents to the drink in the glasses.
Matted onto pink card stock and punched some flowers out from the same cardstock. Backing paper is a Zoe Pearn freebie from ages ago. Leaves cut with a Martha Stewart leaf punch. Gems added for sparkle.
Butterfly has a diamond shaped diamante gem for effect and diamante butterflies added too.

Love and Friendship

Finally made a card and this time I remembered to take a photo of it. I blame old age myself. I am hopeless at remembering stuff at the moment. but seems I'm not the only one!! Loads of people are saying the exact same thing.....well I think they said it. Or maybe its me now imagining these conversations. Crikey now I am waffy!!
anyway back to the card.
this is the February Friendship card I made for Sue usually known on Docrafts as bearhouse.

this is a tilda image which was kindly sent to me by my beautiful friend Lisa at Wishcraft blog. she is fab. this was sent for my birthday.
as always coloured with copics and matted onto red cardstock. the papers were another fab freebie which came with a magazine. they are from My Mind's Eye if I remember rightly!!
wording was done on the PC using a font called doris day. flowers cut from the trust x-cut punch with red gems added for a bit of bling and red candi dots in the corner are from Craftwork Cards.
thanks for looking and I appreciate all your comments whether good or bad.

hugs always until next time

Lisa Wishcraft's Waste Not Wednesday

Crikey another week nearly gone by. Well hopeless me as usual made a card last week for Lisa's Waste Not Wednesday - only to discover there was a layout plan to follow. Doh! Silly me made up my own and so couldn't enter it for that week.
So - here (hopefully) is this weeks entry of mine. I hope there wasn't a layout to follow this week!! LOL, cos I couldn't find one.
anyway I waffle on as usual. For those of you who may or may not know the fabulous  Lisa at Wishcraft cards has a brilliant idea for using up all your images and paper instead of printing or stamping out more you have to use up what you already have.

So here is my creation!!

Its a Valentines card with an image I found on the hard-drive of my PC. I have no idea where its from or who designed it.
so if anyone knows please let me know!! LOL
As always its coloured with copics. the paper is an old print out that I found from the Forever Friends Triple CD disc in the Love section. its simply matted onto red card stock and the wording was done on the PC.

I think its plain and simple - just like my brain is at the moment!! I cannot seem to focus on anything lately - I blame my age being 36!!  (LOL)

check out Lisa's fab blog here as she is giving away some fab candy

to spend at the fabulous Lili of the Valley website. so check her blog and theirs out today!

Happy Birthday to me!!

Well I gave in and had my birthday after all!!
Mind you considering my birthday is normally a really rubbish day - today hasn't been as bad as normal.
Although Justin (my hubby's business partner) gave me one of my own birthday cards AGAIN, from the box on my desk, and he did fill it out in front of me which was a bit of a giveaway. Men eh!! LOL

Thanks to all of you who have left birthday wishes for me on DC and those who have sent cards too.
I spent the day making a card for someone else and then stupid me forgot to take a photo of it.
Could that be my age now? considering I am now a year older?
Although I do like my friend Laura's Nana's theory - you go back 7 years - which would now make me 36.
So yes Happy 36th Birthday to me. LOL

hugs to you all!
