Docrafts March Friendship swap

hello fellow crafters and bloggers.
wow another week or so has flown past and as usual I'm the worst blogger in the world!! LOL
hope you are all well, safe and warm. Its pretty chilly up here in the North East. We don't have any snow so we have been quite lucky compared to some.

Here is today's card. this is for the Docrafts March Friendship swap - I was partnered with Jackie best known on DC as mp3mills  This is the card I sent to Jackie.
Here I have used one of my trusty LOTV images - Teddy Flower - this bear is so versatileAs always he is coloured with copics and I used some of my digital paper stash for the matt and backing paper.

I used a touch of glossy accents to the purple bubbles for effect and added some glamour dust to the centre of the flower. I cut 3 flowers from an Xcut punch and added a stem die cut which was kindly sent to me. I added diamantes to the ends of the stem and to the centre of the flowers.

Here is a close up of the the stem.

Thanks for dropping by today and I will see you all again very soon. As always any comments are appreciated
hugs until next time

Happy 55th Wedding Anniversary

hello friends
I have another card to share with you all today.
This one is for a 55th Wedding Anniversary.
I have used a photo copy of the couple's original wedding day photo.
I simply matted onto white cardstock then onto blackcardstock. I didn't want to detract from the stunning photo.

The wording was printed direct onto the card base itself using a font called Beautiful.

Simple yet elegant I feel. what do you lot think?

Wedding Card 2

hello friends
well as promised here is Wedding Card number 2.
Again its for the same couple as yesterday but obviously a different style.  Here I have used the very popular and very requested landscape style card.

I have printed the wording onto a section of Papermill Linen Cardstock in white using a font called Beautiful but printed in grey rather than black which I felt was too stark against the very white linen card.
I then added a ribbon from my stash and mounted all of this onto silver mirri board and then stuck this onto the linen card base.

The flowers in the corner are from an Xcut punch with added diamantes for sparkle and leaves from a Martha Stewart punch and I added tiny diamantes in between the petals of the flowers.

The butterfly is another punch and I added a teardrop shape for the body of the butterfly and diamantes coming from the bottom of the butterfly.

Then I added more diamantes to the corners for extra sparkle.

The insert was printed onto wedding insert paper again using the same font in the same shade.

Here is the bottom half of the insert

Thanks for the comments on my other card. Would like your feedback on this one today

hugs until next time

Wedding Card 1

hello friends.
well I have another card to share with you all today - this time its a Wedding Day card for a couple who are getting married this Saturday.
The request was pale lemon and sparkle!!

I have used a digi image of a couple which was a freebie a while back with a magazine. I have printed it out onto card stock and added glitter for sparkle.

The background paper is from Pink Petticoat called Elegance printed in Buttermilk. I added the wording direct over the printed paper using a font called Vivaldi. I then matted this onto pale lemon card stock.

I used more card stock and added a middle section with love hearts and then matted this onto more lemon card stock and added a scalloped border.

I glued tiny diamantes into each hole made by the scalloped border punch for extra sparkle!!

The insert was done on irridescent paper but it doesn't show up very well on camera. Again I used the Pink Petticoat papers and added sentiment direct over the top of the pattern.

here is the middle section again of the 8" card.

thanks for stopping by again today. would appreciate any feedback from my fellow crafters!!

hugs until next time

Mother's Day Card 1

hello friends
wow - Friday again. I've had my head down most of the week making Mother's Day cards!! Its Friday and I still have another 10 to go!!
So here is the first of many Mother's Day card orders - this one specifically asked for Mum on it.

Here I have used a LOTV image, coloured with copics. I added glamour dust and tiny diamnates to the bouquet in the bear's hand.

The background was printed direct onto the linen base cardstock along with the wording. I added pink diamantes to some of the white flower centres just for extra sparkle.

The glitter doesn't look very neat in the close up! sorry about that!
It looks better in real life!

anyway I hope to upload another card soon.

thanks for dropping by as always and I appreciate any comments or suggestions whether good or bad

until tomorrow

Happy Birthday dear Niece

hello again
Hope you are enjoying what seems to be the start of Spring - hope its nice and sunny wherever you are.

Here is today's card - this is a commission card for a regular card buyer of mine.  This is for her niece. The lady normally just lets me do whatever so I have chosen the versatile Forever Friends bear from the triple CD which was out about 2 years ago now.

I printed the background and the image itself from the CD directly onto the base of the linen cardstock and added the wording at the same time - using a font called KatTail

I added glossy accents to the gems on the bag and tiny diamantes to the handle and dots of glamour dust to the edges of her scarf.

Here is a close up

hopefully you can see a bit better with this view!

Thanks for sticking with me and dropping by again today. Hope to see you all very soon with another new card.

hugs to you all

Caught a bug and a Happy Birthday card!

hello there
well its Friday again - where are the weeks going to and its 1st March too!!
Today I have included a card I forgot I had done and a quickie card just for fun.
The first is the quickie card using an image from Digistamp Boutique - I love this image. its so funny!!
I simply printed it out - coloured in the bugs and added glossy accents to the jar - matted this onto blue cardstock and hey presto - one quickie card.

Everyone I have shown it to thinks its really funny! Here is a quick close up of the image itself.

Next is a card that I totally forgot I had done. This one is a commission card for a young rugby fan. His strip was specified black and white. Here I have used a LOTV image called Rugby Mad. I coloured it in with my copics and matted onto black cardstock then silver mirri board.

The wording is printed direct onto the linen card base using a font called Waterbrush.I added the grass and some blue sky using chalks.

Here is a close up of the image

I think he looks like he is scoring a try!! I liked the subtly of the chalks for the background against the linen cardstock - it gave a good effect.

thanks for dropping by again today. I hope you like today's 2 cards and I hope to see you tomorrow with another one!!

hugs until next time
